Linkwood – 12 Year Old Flora & Fauna

Linkwood 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Diageo's Flora & Fauna series, a range of single malts in which each distillery is given an animal or plant on its label. The whisky has a rich, oily texture, and in character it departs from the light floral style often expected of Speyside. The nose brings fresh meringue, lemon curd, apricot, dried grass, shortbread and polished wood. On the palate candied lemon and dried banana lead to buttered crumpets and creamy sponge cake, then salted pistachios and toasted oak. The finish has honey-glazed richness, toffee, butterscotch and dark chocolate.
