This Linkwood is a single cask bottling from The Golden Cask series by House of MacDuff. It was distilled in June 2007, matured for twelve years in a bourbon cask and bottled in February 2020.
The cask yielded 276 numbered bottles of 70cl, filled at cask strength of 56%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
Lemon cake and citrus lead the nose, with chalky notes, mild porridge with unripe banana, candle wax and tart apples. The palate is intense, creamy and distinctly sweet, with lime, lemon juice, tart apple and gooseberry, plus a little peach and apricot jam. The medium finish keeps the creamy sweetness, with candied ginger.
