Linkwood 12 Years Old is a Speyside single malt from the Flora and Fauna series, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
The nose begins with fresh red berries and a background of vanilla, then cigar box and a light perfumed note. With water it opens to carnations, lavender and perfumed smoke, with cedar wood and dried orange peel behind. The palate is soft and enveloping, mostly sweet, viscous yet fresh and clean, with a pleasant acidity. The finish is long, with cedar emerging.
