Linkwood – 15 Year Old 2011 First-Fill Ribera del Duero Barrique The Old Friends (56.1%)

A 15 year old Linkwood single malt from Speyside, bottled as a single cask in The Old Friends series. It was distilled in February 2011 and bottled in August 2026, and cask 450/2011 gave 430 bottles. The whisky matured in a first-fill Ribera del Duero barrique that had previously held Spanish red wine. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.1%, without chill-filtration or added colour. It is described as combining ripe cherries and dark berries with vanilla, malt and spicy oak.
