This is a 17 year old single cask Linkwood from Speyside, bottled by Best Dram at a cask strength of 55.7%. The whisky was filled on 3 November 2008 and bottled on 14 January 2026, yielding 268 bottles from cask 306489. It spent its whole maturation in a first fill Château Margaux wine barrique rather than receiving a short finish. On the nose there is grape juice, ripe peach, apple jelly, citrus zest and light floral notes. The palate starts powerfully, then turns rounder and creamier, with dark grapes, ripe peaches, caramelised cane sugar and balanced spice.
