This is a Linkwood distilled in 1956 and bottled at 25 years old by Gordon & MacPhail of Elgin. It was released in the early 1980s as part of the Connoisseurs Choice series, in the brown label design used at that time. The whisky has a deep chestnut colour, which points to time in sherry casks of the kind Gordon & MacPhail were using then. The label gives the strength as 80 proof, which works out at 45.7% ABV. It comes in a 75cl bottle.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
