This is a 31 year old Linkwood distilled in 1989 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in its Octave Premium range.
The nose is summery, with buttery notes, rich honey and dry hay, alongside malty blueberry jam and apple cider. The palate is silky and coating, with stewed plums, sweet cherries, fresh ginger cake and sweet spices.
The finish is long and clean, as the stewed fruits continue with a raisin-studded caramel sauce.
