A thirty-year-old Linkwood from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice Upper range. It was distilled in 1993 and matured in a single first-fill sherry puncheon, then bottled on 10 April 2024 as batch 24/023 at cask strength, 49.2%. The single-cask release runs to 531 bottles, non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring. The nose opens with strong orange peel, then hazelnut and cinnamon, with raisins and vanilla fudge leading to toasted oak. The palate pairs soft stewed fruit with toffee made from dark sugar syrup and apple, alongside raspberry compote and mild aniseed. The medium finish holds Morello cherry.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
