First-fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead finish
This 30-year-old Linkwood was distilled in 1995 and, after its main maturation, finished in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead. La Maison du Whisky bottled it in 2025 as the 15th Artist edition, titled The Dark Side of the Moon, in an outturn of 339 bottles at 51%. The label is by the artist Sthenjwa Luthuli. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose combines malt and citrus with acacia honey, coconut, lychee and ripe peach. The palate is silky, with ginger, pear, candied lemon and mango over dense PX sweetness, and the long finish brings vanilla, tobacco, thyme and raisins.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
