This Linkwood is a Speyside single malt distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2020 by Wilson & Morgan at 48%. It was finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for only seven months, a short time so that the sweetness would not overpower the dry, crisp character of the whisky.
The notes cover a broad range of fruit: blood orange and orange peel, a touch of red apple, red berries, and a little raisin and nutwood. The finish has a fresh, tart sweetness.
