This Linkwood was distilled in 2011 and matured for 14 years in first-fill and refill Oloroso hogsheads. Signatory Vintage bottled it in 2026 as Edition #72 of its 100 Proof series, at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The first-fill casks give a strong Oloroso influence, while the refill casks leave room for the fruitier side of the Linkwood spirit.
The nose brings ripe apples and malty sweetness with dark sultanas, a touch of toffee, light oak spice and fine cocoa. On the palate come milk chocolate and creamy toffee, with a note of ginger and the sweet, spicy depth of Oloroso. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice and cocoa.
