This is a Linkwood single malt from the Connoisseurs Choice range of Gordon & MacPhail. Linkwood distilled it in 1991, and it matured for 30 years in a first fill sherry butt before bottling on 14 December 2021 at a cask strength of 53.1%.
The butt gave 549 bottles of 70cl. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Sherry character and stewed raisins run through it, alongside fresh citrus and autumn spices. The nose shows lemon peel with a hint of blueberry, the palate sweet citrus with spice, and the finish is full of fruit with a light herbal note.
