Linkwood – 31 Year Old 1995 1st Fill Pedro Ximenez Sherry Hogshead Finish Cask 15 Best Dram

This Linkwood is a 31-year-old Speyside single malt from Best Dram, distilled on 5 June 1995 and bottled on 17 July 2026. It was finished in a first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead, cask 15, and 347 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring, so its rust-brown colour comes from the cask alone. Linkwood was founded in 1821 by Peter Brown, near Elgin. The profile is dried fruit, dark syrup and warm caramel, with vanilla and restrained oak spice. Sweet raisins and ripe plums are also noted.
