This is a 41 year old Speyside single malt from Linkwood, selected by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection. It was distilled on 12 September 1980 and matured in a refill American hogshead, cask 8255, until it was bottled on 31 December 2021. The single cask gave 121 bottles at 52.3%, in 70cl size. It is unpeated, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is fresh apple, floral notes and vanilla, with pear, honey, dried fruit and fine oak spice. The palate brings honey, dried fruit and nuts in a creamy texture, with yellow fruit, caramel and spicy wood. The long finish ends on oak and spice, with fruit and gentle sweetness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
