A 47 year old Linkwood from the Private Collection of G&M, distilled on 23 March 1973 and bottled on 15 December 2020. It matured in a refill sherry hogshead and is bottled at 51.4% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings rich vanilla, sweet treacle and Medjool dates, with milk chocolate and festive spice developing. On the palate it is smooth and creamy, with stewed apples, soft citrus zest, cracked black pepper, sultanas and toasted almonds. The finish is long and full, with lingering spice and mature oak.
