Linkwood 8 Year Old 2017/2026 - Cask Partnership (Murray McDavid) - Justino's Madeira Cask Finish

This is an 8 year old Speyside single malt from Linkwood, distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2026 by Murray McDavid for its Cask Partnership series. Only 1,228 bottles were filled. After its main maturation, the whisky spent its final three years in former barriques from Justino's, a producer of Madeira fortified wine since 1870. The spirit began as a grassy, apple-led distillate. It is not chill-filtered. The nose combines exotic fruit, fine almonds and creamy toffee. On the palate come light fruit, vanilla and a gentle spice, and the finish carries dark chocolate and lasting sweetness.
