This is an 8 year old Speyside single malt from Linkwood, distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2021 by Douglas Laing in its Provenance range. It was matured in a refill hogshead and bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, in a metal tube. 321 bottles were filled.
The nose is rich vanilla leading into barley and chocolate brownie and apple peel. The palate is thick, creamy vanilla custard with butter croissants and gooseberry jam. The finish is long, with a hint of citrus and a nutty warmth.
