Liquid Treasures Highland (Peated) 12 Year Old 2012 Xmas Dram

This is a peated 12 year old Highland single malt, released by Liquid Treasures as its 2025 Xmas Dram. It was distilled at an undisclosed Highland distillery. The whisky was matured in a sherry hogshead. Together with the peat, that cask gives a profile built around nuts, with raisins and a vanilla sweetness behind them. The nose is nutty, with roasted almonds and a touch of pepper. On the palate, subtle sherry notes bring raisins and vanilla. The finish carries a gentle peatiness that stays in the background.
