Little Book Chapter 8 "Path Not Taken" is the 2024 release in Freddie Noe's annual Little Book series, and the first chapter built around rye. It is a blended American whiskey of seven components: six straight ryes, including Kentucky and Pennsylvania-style ryes, and an 18-year-old high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon. The components range from 4 to 18 years old.
It was released in May 2024 and is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 59.1% (118.2 proof) in a 750ml bottle. A green hang tag on the neck refers to the rye character.
The nose brings toasted rye bread, gingerbread, clove, butterscotch, dill and fresh herbs, with tangerines and poached orchard fruit.
