Refill American hogshead
This is a 31 year old Lowland single malt from Littlemill, distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2023 at 44.5% ABV by Gordon & MacPhail. It comes from a single refill American hogshead and was filled into 226 bottles, each 70cl. It is part of the Connoisseurs Choice Recollection Series, which features malts from closed or long-silent distilleries. Littlemill no longer exists, having been turned into a museum and then damaged by fire. The nose combines lemon, lime and subtle honey, with fresh apple, tropical fruit and a hint of hay. The palate has sweet citrus, honeysuckle and garden mint, then dried pineapple, charred oak and soft black pepper. The finish is medium, with grapefruit and peanuts.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
