The smoke is described as balanced rather than overpowering, set alongside a light fruit sweetness, some spice and a touch of saltiness.
The nose is led by peat smoke, with roasted malt, dark chocolate and subtle fruit behind it, and an earthy depth. The palate is full and rich, with smoke, gentle fruit, spice and salt. The finish is long and warming, smoky and dry, with a slight bitterness recalling dark chocolate and roasted coffee.
