Loch Lomond 28 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the Mission Gold series by Murray McDavid. It was distilled in 1996, bottled in 2025 and finished in Sauternes casks, in a limited release at 51.2% without chill-filtration or added colour.
The Sauternes finish adds sweetness, fruit and a light honeyed note.
The nose offers ripe stone fruit, honey and tropical fruit with vanilla and fine oak. The palate is full and soft, with caramel, sweet fruit, honey and spice, balanced by a creamy texture and fine acidity. The finish is long and warm, with fruit, honey and oak spice.
