Loch Lomond – The Nine 2009 1st Fill Limousin Oak Hogshead (Cask 2/6) (70cl, 55.2%)

This is a single cask Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, number 2 of 6 in The Nine Single Cask Series, a range in which the distillery shows nine different malt styles. It was distilled in swan neck stills and matured first in an American oak refill hogshead. It then moved to a first-fill Limousin oak hogshead for finishing, which gives the bottling its focus on French oak. It is bottled at 55.2% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring and without chill-filtration.
