This is a single malt from Loch Lomond, part of The Nine series and the 2013 release, bottled at 56.3% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a first-fill Rivesaltes hogshead, a cask that held the French fortified wine. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is golden syrup, apricot jam and sweet toffee. On the palate, fresh orange zest and bittersweet grapefruit meet vanilla, candied ginger and lime juice. The finish brings honey-glazed raisins, gentle oak spice and toasty notes.
