This 22 year old single malt from Loch Lomond marks the 150th anniversary of The Open Championship. It was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2022 at 48.2%, without chill-filtering. The whisky was matured in a combination of American oak casks and French red wine casks. The nose offers ripe pears, dried pineapple, vanilla and toasted oak, followed by gentle spice. On the palate it is full and rounded, with baked apple, caramel, honey, clove and dark berries, plus a light mineral edge from the wine casks. The finish is long and silky, with lasting fruit and spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
