Long John 12 Years Old is a blended Scotch whisky with a 12-year age statement, in a 75cl bottle at 43% abv. It was distilled, blended and bottled in Scotland.
The blend includes Tormore distillate, which brings a sweetness of toasted almonds.
The nose is fresh and layered, with ash, light smoke, sherry sweetness, raisins, malt, toasted vanilla and caramel. The palate is warm, with raisins, mint, herbs, fresh-cut hay, cardamom and a peaty smoke. The finish is long and soft, with salty notes, dry grass and a return of raisins.
