Long John 8 Years Old is a Scotch whisky with an eight-year age statement, from Long John Distilleries, in a 70cl blue ceramic jug.
The nose is clean and fresh, with malted cereal, straw and toasted barley, soft orange blossom, and light notes of honey and vanilla from the wood. The palate is balanced and full-bodied, with pure malt and creamy toffee, turning warm with subtle spice and a very faint smoke from island malts. The finish is medium to long, rounded and pleasant, with sweet wood.
