Long John McDonald Special Reserve 1.5 L (1.5L, 40%)

A Scotch whisky from Long John Distilleries of Dumbarton, bottled at 40% in a large 1.5 litre bottle. It was distilled and bottled in Scotland, and the label carries the date 1825 as the year of establishment. The nose is fresh and light, with syrup, icing sugar and vanilla, subtle cereal notes and a light background of peat smoke. The palate is warm and balanced, with a toasted almond sweetness, woody bourbon notes and gentle spice. The finish is short to medium, dry and firm, with toasted notes.
