Long John Over 5 Years Old is a blended Scotch whisky, distilled, matured, blended and bottled in Scotland by Long John Distilleries of Glasgow. It comes at 43% abv in a large 1.89 litre jug.
The nose is fresh and grainy, with vanilla, caramel, ripe apple and orange peel over a very light peat smoke and old wood. The palate is creamy and oily, with orange and honey sweetness, toasted almonds, white pepper and grain. The finish is medium to short, slightly dry and woody, with a little smoke.
