This is the 2025 100 Proof release from Longrow, the heavily peated single malt made at Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent almost four years in refill bourbon casks and over two years in refill pinot noir casks.
The nose combines medicinal, TCP-like peat smoke with redcurrants. The palate is softer, with earthy, musty smoke alongside creme brulee, vanilla and almonds. The smoky finish brings red cola cubes, strawberry laces and marzipan.
