This is a seven year old Longrow from Campbeltown, a heavily peated single malt from the Springbank distillery, bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition in the Longrow Red line.
The whisky spent four years in bourbon casks and a further three in French Pinot Noir wine casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose offers fresh herbs, tomato plants, heather and sour cherries. The palate is sweet and savoury, with smoked ham, wine gums and raspberry jam, and the finish brings salty sea air, pebble beaches, flint and algae.
