Longrow Red is a peated Campbeltown single malt, aged for 7 years and released as a limited edition. It is bottled at 57.1% ABV, in a 70cl bottle, after a finish in Pinot Noir casks from the Grant Taylor Valli Vineyards in New Zealand.
The nose is creamy and fruity, with custard, bramble jelly, red apple and cherry, alongside smoky embers, toffee and butterscotch. On the palate the smoke carries on, set against tannin, cranberry, raspberry and sweet confectionery. The finish is briny and maritime, with smoky embers lingering.
