M&H Apex Peated Fortified Red Wine 2018/2021 Single Malt (63.8%)

This is a peated single malt from the M&H (Milk & Honey) Distillery in Tel Aviv, Israel. It is a single cask bottling, one of 502 bottles, drawn from a fortified red wine cask that the distillery's head distiller, Tomer Goren, chose for its unusual aromas. The whisky was distilled in 2018 and is bottled at 63.8% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose brings dried tobacco leaves, a little seaweed and a hint of white chocolate. The palate is rich, with puff pastry in raspberry sauce and nutmeg. The finish is long and earthy, with jasmine and cardamom tea.
