Mac-Talla Terra Classic Islay Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Mac-Talla Terra is an Islay single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Its name means "earth", and its strong peat smoke is meant to reflect that element. The peat is millions of years old and a defining feature of the Islay landscape. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colouring. A little pepper comes through when tasting. Mac-Talla is the brand of the Morrison family, who have been on Islay for five generations. The name is Gaelic for "echo".
