A special release of Macallan 12 Year Old Gran Reserva from the Speyside distillery, made in 2007 exclusively for the Japanese and Taiwanese markets. Around 90,000 bottles were released, in 70cl bottles at 45.6%.
It was matured in first fill Oloroso sherry oak casks, which give deep, rich notes of sherried fruits, dark chocolate and a range of spices.
