Macallan 15 Year Double Cask is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spends 15 years in a mix of American and European sherry oak casks.
The Double Cask approach pairs sweeter American oak with spicier European oak. The spirit is twice distilled in small copper stills.
The nose offers honey, vanilla, ginger and candied orange, with nuts and mild spice beneath. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with dried fruit, caramel, cinnamon and light oak tannins. The finish is long and warming, with spice, dark chocolate and a dry note.
