This is a 25 year old single malt from Macallan on Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Speymalt series. It was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2026 at 51%, without chill-filtration or added colouring, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in a sherry cask and comes from a single cask, number 20600305.
The nose offers dark chocolate, dried fruit and winter spices, with candied citrus, roasted nuts and polished wood. The palate is full and rich, with dried cherries and raspberries. The finish is long, with spicy warmth, dark sweetness and ripe sherry.
