Macallan – A Night on Earth in Scotland 2022 (70cl, 43%)

Macallan A Night on Earth in Scotland is a seasonal single malt from Speyside, released in 2022 and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It tells the story of Hogmanay, the Scottish New Year celebration held every 31 December, and was created in collaboration with the illustrator Erica Dorn. It was matured in a selection of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks and American ex-bourbon casks. The nose is vanilla, butter, baked apple, biscuits, plums and almond. The palate is softly sweet, recalling shortbread, with vanilla, lightly toasted marshmallow, dried orange, fig and cinnamon. The finish is medium, with sweet butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits.
