Macallan Inspired by Fresh Coconut is the sixth and final bottling in The Macallan's Harmony Collection. It is a limited single malt, bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Its coconut character comes from the wood rather than from flavouring. Sherry-seasoned American oak casks with a high level of oak lactones were chosen for it, and ex-bourbon casks underline the coconut notes. The Macallan was founded in 1824.
Fresh coconut leads the nose, with citrus, tropical fruit, vanilla, sweet oak and light spice. On the palate come coconut milk, lime, soft sweetness, vanilla and fine oak. The finish is fresh and floral, with tropical fruit and citrus.
