This is a single cask Macallan from the Speymalt range, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. The whisky was distilled in 1998, matured entirely in a sherry cask and bottled in 2024 at a cask strength of 53.2%. The release came to 338 bottles of 70cl, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose combines sweet vanilla and soft toffee with dried figs and sultanas. On the palate, raspberries and Seville orange sit alongside a fine note of aniseed. The finish is warming, with gentle oak tones slowly fading.
