This is a Canadian single malt whisky from Macaloney's, in a 700ml bottle. It is made using traditional Islay peat for smoking and aged in ex-bourbon casks.
The pairing sets Scottish peat character, with iodine, seaweed and tobacco, against vanilla, fruit and honey from the bourbon cask. The result is smoky and maritime yet sweet, balancing medicinal notes with classic bourbon sweetness.
