This Macduff 10 Year Old is a Highland single malt distilled in 2013 and bottled by Cadenhead's in early 2024 for its Original Collection, at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, which gives a balance between freshness and warm sherry notes rather than leaning wholly one way.
The nose offers ripe apple, orange peel, honey and soft nuts, with a little raisin and light spice. The palate is round, with caramel, malt, dried fruit and a gentle nutty sherry note. The finish is medium to long, slightly spicy and softly dry.
