Macduff – 2007 Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Exceptional Cask Edition #3 (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a 2007 vintage Macduff, a Highland single malt bottled by Signatory Vintage as Exceptional Cask Edition #3 in its 100 Proof series. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 57.1%. The whisky was matured in first fill Oloroso sherry butts, which give it a clear sherry cask character. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose offers dark chocolate, raisins, orange peel and oak spice. On the palate come dark fruit, cocoa, spices and roasted nuts. The finish is long and warm, with oak, spice and a bitter sweetness.
