This is a 12 year old Macduff from Douglas Laing's Provenance series, an independent Highland bottling. It was distilled in July 2008 and bottled in December 2020.
The whisky matured in a refill hogshead and was bottled as a single cask, with 421 bottles released at 46%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The refill hogshead lets the distillery character come through plainly, in a malty and balanced style.
