This is a 2009 Macduff single malt in a 70cl bottle, selected for the Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice range. It was matured in a refill bourbon barrel and bottled as an outturn of 218 bottles. The colour is a light gold.
The nose combines rich vanilla pod with tropical fruit and a little cocoa powder, then sweet peach, lemon zest and toasted oak. Pineapple and dried banana on the palate give way to apricot and cracked pepper, with orange marmalade, honeydew melon and grapefruit peel. The finish is medium, with light spice and lingering citrus fruit.
