A 10-year-old Highland single malt from Macduff, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022 by Brave New Spirits for its film noir-themed Cask Noir series. It is named The Thane of Fife, after the title of the character Macduff in Macbeth.
It comes from a single first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead, number 900352, and was bottled at a natural cask strength of 56.2% without colouring or chill filtration. The cask gave 385 bottles.
The tasting notes mention toffee apples, creme brulee, cotton candy and lotus biscuits.
