This is a 12 year old Macduff single malt from the Highlands, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2024 by The Single Malts of Scotland as part of its Small Batch series.
The whisky spent its twelve years in refill sherry butts. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings ripe apple and passion fruit, with malty sweetness and a light mineral freshness. The palate is soft, full and slightly oily, with sweet malt, walnut, lemon and herbs. The finish is long, with gentle apple, light fruit and a touch of honey.
