Macduff – 2012-2022 9 Year Old Dram Mor Single Cask 900047 (70cl, 58%)

This is a 9 year old single cask Macduff from the Highlands, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2022 by Dram Mor for its Autumn 2022 outturn. It came from a refill sherry butt and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 58% in a 70cl bottle, with 722 bottles filled. The colour is burnished copper. The nose is soft and mild, with sherry tones recalling childhood sherry trifle, sweet yellow fruit and creaminess. Barley sugars and old-fashioned boiled sweets run into creamy sherry on the palate. The finish is sweet and warm, with gentle oak tannins.
