This Macduff is a 12-year-old Highland single malt, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2024 at 48% ABV by Elixir Distillers under its Single Malts of Scotland label. It is a small batch married from just four refill sherry butts, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colour.
The refill casks add depth to the distillery's fruity style without covering it. Passion fruit and malt lead the flavour, and the whisky is honey-coloured.
Tasting Notes
Passion fruit and malt, with a restrained influence from the refill casks
