Mackmyra – Björksav Swedish Single Malt Whisky

Mackmyra Björksav is a Swedish single malt whisky made in collaboration with Grythyttan wine. The name means birch sap, and the whisky was inspired by the return of spring. It includes casks that were seasoned with Swedish birch sap wine, which gives a floral character with a fresh spiciness and sweet notes of vanilla fudge. On the nose it is floral and fruity with light spice, vanilla fudge, sandalwood, cedar and toasted bread, alongside cherry, raisin, apple, pear and lemon. The palate is fresh and spicy with a slightly oily texture, and the finish is light and spicy with toasted oak and dried fruit.
